Interview: Pinkish Blu
Pinkish Blu are an iridescent Adelaidean pop band that will have lyric-lovers falling head over heels for their romanticised intricacy.
Their debut EP, There’s no such thing as good people, had consistent airplay on triple j and earned them support spots with the likes of G Flip, The Reubens, Trophy Eyes and more. In fact, they’re about to embark on tour with Odette as one of her opening guests through May.
“One thing we’ve learned from last year – I think everyone has – is that there’s no time to waste,” says the band’s Ricky Liddell. “If you’ve got the opportunity to, y’know, create and release music videos or whatever, do it. And if you have the opportunity to play shows as well, do it. Take any opportunity you can!”
So what exactly can gig-goers expect when they see Pinkish Blu live next month? Well, according to Ricky, “you’ll see four really excited people on stage, that are just dying to perform music in front of people again,”
Check out Tait’s full interview with bandmates Liddell and Luke Franceschini below, covering recent single “Backward”, its music video, and what’s next for the four-piece.
“Backward” is OUT NOW.
