Holly Humberstone‘s debut EP Falling Asleep At The Wheel caught on like wildfire after it’s release in August 2020. The 21-year-old has since been chosen as one of Apple’s Up Next Artist and VEVO DSCVR’s Artists To Watch 2021, defining the sound for the year.

She’s currently giving us the first few tastes of what’s to come from her new signing with Darkroom/Interscope, and it’s evolving from her high school graduating collection into becoming an esteemed and established artist. With heavier brooding production that follows her moving away from her childhood home and taking on responsibilities, there’s a newfound maturity to Humberstone with her singles “Haunted House” and “The Walls Are Way Too Thin”.

The latter was written about her tiny London flat when she felt lost in a new city with strangers as housemates and little routine. We sat down to discuss the release, along with her family, separating self from artist and growing up.

“The Walls Are Way Too Thin” is OUT NOW.
