Lime Cordiale seem to be everywhere since the release of their debut album 14 Steps To A Better You. And through October, they quite literally will be as they embark on their biggest tour yet around the country.

2020 saw the band score the most nominations at the ARIA Awards, taking home the Breakthrough Artist award; five tracks in the top 26 of triple j’s Hottest 100 countdown; and a few well-timed intimate shows around Sydney.

More recently, the boys stepped on to the innovative Yours & Owls Festival rotating stage for one of their first festivals back.

“I thought it was sick,” Oli Leimbach told us. “I’m into the innovative COVID workarounds… It was weird to close your eyes after looking at the audience, then you open and there’s just like sound guys smoking a ciggie.”

Their live shows have been making headlines for their raucous energy, but also for the surprise guests they could pull out along the way. Their recent Enmore Theatre show in March saw the Leimbach brother invite British actor Idris Elba on stage to rap over their track “Unnecessary Things”.

“I texted Idris to see if he could come on this run,” said Oli, “but he’s shooting a film. But he was like, ‘Oh man, I would’ve been keen!’”

Their 14 Steps To A Better You Tour will see them play venues such as the Hordern Pavilion – a venue brothers Oli and Louis have frequented a number of times as punters for bands such as Kings of Leon and Blink182, and soon to get all areas access as artists.

It’s a show not to be missed with horns, clarinets, kazoos and guest appearances to surprise and delight from every angle!
